Door to the apartment: Does the code work, but the door won't open?

Sometimes the door warps due to temperature differences. 💡 Tip: Immediately after entering the code, pull the door knob gently towards you. Please never use force .

How to get into your suite at Augsburg's Rathausplatz

1. Access to the building

The GoldenKey Suites are located in the first building of the Steingasse pedestrian zone, when coming from Augsburg’s Town Hall Square (Rathausplatz). You can easily recognize the building by its striking tower and the Wolf Bakery (Bäckerei Wolf) on the ground floor.

The main entrance is at the back of the building. To get there, use the passage between the Wolf Bakery and Jeweler Hörl (look for the Rolex sign). Follow the cobblestone path into the inner courtyard.

The entrance is located inside the courtyard, behind the bakery “Wolf”.

You can reach the entrance via the inner courtyard in the rear building.

Opening the main entrance

You have received the access code for the main door via email or through your booking platform (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.).

At the silver keypad of the intercom system (mailbox unit - located to the right of the main entrance), please follow this sequence:

Enter the code → Press the key symbol 🔑

Please enter the code for the building entrance on the silver keypad.

If you are inside the Bäckerei Wolf bakery, you can also access the staircase directly from there and reach our holiday apartments (towards the guest restroom).

2. Way to your suite

After entering the building, take the elevator to your designated floor. Each suite is marked with a GoldenKey Suites sign, the apartment number (WE), and the floor level.

🔑 Opening your apartment door

At your apartment door, you will find a keypad.

Simply enter your personal door code to unlock the apartment. You can find your suite's entry code in the email we sent you or in your booking messages (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.).
