In our opinion, this is the most beautiful spot in Augsburg. You can enjoy culture, history, and urban flair right on your doorstep, with a direct view of the Lech canals - a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The apartments themselves are modern, but are situated amidst cobblestone alleys and canals. Despite the central location, the holiday apartments are quiet. Large windows ensure bright rooms. For darkening, there are electric shutters and curtains.
Arrival and parking
A convenient parking garage is the multi-storey car park at the City-Galerie Augsburg. This is located 500 meters away. Guests receive discounts from us for this. (No entry between 12:00 AM and 6:30 AM, exit is always possible). Parking information.
Augsburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) is 1.4 kilometers away. Munich can be reached in 27 minutes with the high-speed train (ICE). Adress and how to get to our apartment.
🏞️ View of the UNESCO World Heritage Site
Augsburg's Old Town is famous for its picturesque alleys, which are crisscrossed by small canals. The water management system from the 15th to the 17th centuries, including the Hinterer Lech canal, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests of the Goldenkey-Suite "Schaezlerpalais" stay right in the middle of these famous alleys. From the apartment, they have a direct view of the historic alleyway with its green waterway.
Art and Culture in the Old Town
You are right in the cultural heart of Augsburg's Old Town. The Old Town and the Lech canals are often adorned with creative artworks. In autumn, lampshades hung over the Old Town canals create a special atmosphere. The Augsburg Art Association often features exhibitions in the nearby Holbeinhaus. It is well worth a visit. The Holbeinhaus is only a 2-minute walk away.
Restaurants, Cafés and more
The Old Town around Holbeinplatz and the Hinterer Lech has become one of Augsburg's most popular spots. You will find both tourists and locals here. There are numerous small and unique shops for browsing, as well as very charming cafés and restaurants. 🍽️

Accessibility
The suite is located on the 2nd floor (top apartment, no elevator). The bathroom was newly renovated in 2023. It is small and features a small shower-bathtub combination. For people with mobility issues, we recommend our Rathausplatz suites, which have a larger bathroom, a walk-in shower, and an elevator.
